2. Accounts
To submit press releases or access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.
3. Press Release Submissions
When you submit a press release to companies.com.sg, you confirm that:
- The content is accurate, truthful, and not misleading to the best of your knowledge.
- You own or have the right to use all content submitted, including any trademarks, images, or third-party material.
- The content does not violate any applicable Singapore laws, regulations, or third party rights.
- The submission relates to a legitimate business announcement and is not spam, advertising disguised as news, or defamatory content.
You grant companies.com.sg a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, and distribute your submitted content on our platform and in promotional materials referencing our Service.
4. Content Standards
You may not submit content that:
- Is false, deceptive, or fraudulent.
- Defames, harasses, or threatens any individual or entity.
- Infringes any intellectual property rights.
- Contains malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial messaging.
- Violates the Misuse of Computer Act, Securities and Futures Act, or other Singapore statutes.
- Is obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable in our reasonable discretion.
We reserve the right to refuse, edit, or remove any submission that violates these standards, without prior notice and without liability to you.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, trademarks, and software comprising the companies.com.sg platform (excluding user-submitted press releases) are the property of companies.com.sg or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our platform content without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- Press releases published on our platform are accurate, complete, or current. They are submitted by third parties and represent the submitting company’s own views.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
- Any information on the platform constitutes professional, financial, or legal advice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, companies.com.sg and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed SGD 100 or the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless companies.com.sg and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issue amicably before pursuing legal action.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will indicate the effective date of the current version at the top of this page.
